LoveSign Hub Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 16976805), with our registered office at Ground Floor Advance House, 9 Waterfall Lane Trading Estate, Cradley Heath, West Midlands, United Kingdom, B64 6PU.

We provide BSL courses & Taster Courses, Deaf Awareness Training, interpreting and communication support services, a career support hub for Deaf professionals, Access to Work Support Services and a Video Relay Service (VRS).

  • Access to Work (ATW) reference numbers and claim information.

For career network members, we may hold:

  • Employment history and professional background.
  • Communication preferences and accessibility requirements.
  • Information relating to job applications or employer interactions facilitated through the platform.

3.4 Special Category Data

Some of the personal data we process in connection with our services — in particular, information about Deaf or deafblind individuals — may constitute special category data under UK GDPR, specifically health-related data. We process this data only where necessary to deliver the requested service and with appropriate safeguards in place.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

6.1 Service Delivery

  • Interpreters and communication professionals engaged to fulfil your booking — who are bound by professional confidentiality obligations.
  • Training facilitators or course tutors delivering services on our behalf.

6.2 Technology and Platform Providers

  • WordPress website platform — Automattic Inc. WordPress.com is subject to standard contractual clauses for international data transfers where applicable.
  • Email and communication service providers, such as Google Workspace or equivalent.
  • Payment processors — payment card data is handled by our payment provider and is not stored by us.
  • Analytics providers — see Section 9.

6.3 Legal and Regulatory

  • Government bodies or law enforcement agencies where we are legally required to disclose information.
  • Professional registration bodies, such as NRCPD, where relevant to interpreter compliance.

All third parties who process personal data on our behalf are required to do so in accordance with UK GDPR and our data processing instructions.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers — including WordPress (Automattic) — may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or equivalent standard contractual clauses, in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

8. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Our general retention periods are:

  • Booking and service records: 7 years from the date of the booking, for tax and legal compliance purposes.
  • Course and training records: 3 years from the date of completion, or longer if required for certification purposes.
  • Career network profiles: for the duration of active membership, plus 12 months following account closure.
  • Marketing contact records: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Website analytics data: as determined by our analytics provider settings, up to 730 days.

Where retention is no longer necessary, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

9. Cookies and Website Tracking
