Read our Terms & Conditions to understand the rules, responsibilities, and conditions for using our website and services.
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by LoveSign Hub Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales. By booking or using any of our services — including but not limited to BSL courses and Taster Courses, Deaf Awareness Training, interpreting and communication support services, Career Support Hub membership, Access to Work Support Services, Interpreter Mentoring and Video Relay Service (VRS) — you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read these Terms carefully before placing a booking or purchasing a service. If you have any questions, contact us before proceeding.
LoveSign Hub Ltd provides the following services:
Each service may be subject to additional terms specific to that service type, which will be communicated at the time of booking or purchase.
Once a booking has been confirmed and/or agreed — whether by email, telephone, SMS, written correspondence, or verbally — a contractual agreement is considered to have been formed between LoveSign Hub Ltd and the Client. For interpreting and communication support bookings specifically, confirmation is binding regardless of the method by which it was communicated. Clients are advised to confirm all bookings in writing wherever possible.
Notice periods are calculated from the date on which written or verbal notice of cancellation is received by LoveSign Hub Ltd.
For BSL courses and Deaf Awareness Training, the following applies:
VRS sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a session fee. Full VRS-specific cancellation terms will be provided at the point of service activation.
Invoices are due for payment within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment terms for Access to Work (ATW) bookings may vary in line with ATW procedures.
Interest will automatically be applied at 8% over the applicable base rate to all overdue sums from the first date on which they become due until they are paid in full, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Each reminder letter or email issued in respect of overdue payment will incur a charge of £50.00.
Where a booking is funded in whole or in part through the Access to Work scheme, the Client is responsible for ensuring that claims are submitted promptly and that payment is made within the agreed terms. Delays caused by late ATW claims do not affect the Client’s liability for payment.
For assignments requiring intensive preparation — including but not limited to talks, conferences, presentations, festivals, webinars, training sessions, and workshops — the Client must provide all relevant preparation materials at least 48 hours prior to the assignment. Preparation materials include, where applicable:
The interpreter reserves the right to withdraw from a booking, with applicable fees charged, where appropriate preparation materials have not been provided with sufficient time to prepare.
No recording of an interpreter’s work shall be made — whether audio, visual, or otherwise — without the interpreter’s prior written consent. This restriction does not apply where recording is inherent within legal proceedings or where it is a statutory requirement of the assignment. Requests to record interpreting sessions must be made in advance of the booking. Consent, where given, will be confirmed in writing.
Where a co-worker (second interpreter) has been agreed as part of the booking and that co-worker is not available on the day — whether due to last-minute withdrawal or failure to arrange cover — a sole worker premium fee will apply. This is in recognition of the additional professional demand placed on a single interpreter working without the support of a co-worker. The applicable premium rate will be communicated at the time of booking or upon the relevant circumstances arising.
All interpreters working under LoveSign Hub Ltd operate in accordance with the NRCPD (National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People) Code of Conduct or equivalent professional standards. Clients are expected to engage with interpreters in a manner that respects their professional role and obligations.
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment or an agreed purchase order. Places are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmation is received.
All course materials provided by LoveSign Hub Ltd are for the personal use of the enrolled participant and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. LoveSign Hub Ltd is not responsible for learning outcomes where a participant misses sessions. For online courses, participants are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable internet connection and device.
Where a certificate of completion is offered, this will be issued upon successful completion of the course requirements. LoveSign Hub Ltd reserves the right to withhold certification where course requirements have not been met.
The LoveSign Hub career support hub provides a platform for Deaf professionals and employers. Members are responsible for the accuracy of information they submit. LoveSign Hub Ltd does not guarantee employment outcomes and acts as a facilitator, not an employment agency. We reserve the right to remove any listings or profiles that breach our community standards or these Terms without notice.
The LoveSign Hub VRS is currently in development. Specific terms governing use of the VRS — including acceptable use, session scheduling, data handling, and service limitations — will be provided upon launch and will form a supplementary agreement to these Terms. Use of the VRS is subject to availability and the technical requirements communicated at point of registration.
All content, materials, and resources created and provided by LoveSign Hub Ltd — including course content, training materials, branding, and website content — remain the intellectual property of LoveSign Hub Ltd. Clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use materials for their intended purpose only. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property to the Client.
LoveSign Hub Ltd processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our full Privacy Policy is available on our website and sets out how we collect, use, and store personal data. By booking or using our services, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
LoveSign Hub Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the use of our services. Our total liability to the Client in respect of any claim arising from a booking or service shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Client in respect of that booking or service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
LoveSign Hub Ltd will not be liable for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness of an interpreter, transport disruption, force majeure, or government restrictions. Where possible, we will notify the Client promptly and make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative.
We are committed to providing a high standard of service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us in writing at contact@lovesignhub.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
LoveSign Hub Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website. Continued use of our services following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
